For those of you coming in from out of town, we will be delivering gift bags in your hotel rooms, so if you have booked into a hotel that is not explicitly listed above, PLEASE tell us so we can provide you with a gift bag!

If you have booked at the Union Square Inn, please note that they do not have an elevator. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, PLEASE call them and request a low floor for your reservation.
Hotel 17 still has some rooms with a private bath left, but not many, so if you intend to book there, please do so soon! The rooms with a shared bath are less expensive and they have many of those left. They have a sister property called Hotel 31 that has rooms with a shared bath available as well.
The Waldorf-Astoria and Hotel Giraffe still have rooms left in their blocks. Their rates are reasonable (for NYC), so please don't rule them out without checking with them for rates!
If you check Hotels.com or any other travel website, be sure to do a search with the address of the reception - 201 Park Avenue South, New York, NY. There are several hotels with reasonable rates on Hotels.com right now, including the Clarion Park Avenue and Thirty Thirty, which are both a medium-length walk from the reception.

We have negotiated block rates with the following hotels for the nights of April 11-12. All hotels with negotiated blocks are ready for booking now. Call and request the McGivney/Moore wedding block.
I have rated these hotels as $$ ($100-200/night), $$$ ($200-300/night), $$$$ ($300-400/night) and $$$$$ (more than $400/night) to help make your choice of hotel easier. NYC hotels are very expensive and we have made every effort to find accommodations that will work for everyone. If you are traveling to the wedding and want to find someone to share a room with, we have a "Hotel Share" post below, where you can comment, or you can just contact us directly and we will try and pair you up with a roommate.
Please note: The negotiated group rates we have for the following three hotels are good until March 10, 2008 (unless noted differently below). If you book after that date, the negotiated rate may not be available and the rates may be significantly higher.
W Hotel Union Square ($$$$$) - this is where the ceremony and reception will be held. We have a small block of rooms set aside at this hotel, so if you want to stay here, please book early. Reservations can be made by calling toll free 1-877-WHOTELS or 1-888.627.7191 and asking for the W New York Union Square and the McGivney/Moore wedding block no later than Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
Giraffe Hotel ($$$$) - nine blocks north of the reception location. The rooms we have guaranteed for our guests are the deluxe rooms, which have a balcony. Individuals are to call Hotel Giraffe directly (212) 685-7700 or at their toll-free number, (877) 296-0009 and mention the group name, McGivney-Moore Wedding, to make reservations at the discounted group rate no later than Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
Waldorf Astoria ($$$) - Approximately 32 blocks north of the reception location, on Park Avenue and 49th Street. 5 stops away from the reception location on the #6 subway line. There will be a shuttle from this hotel to the reception site and back on the night of the wedding. Taxis are also readily available. (Note: due to the terms we have arranged with this hotel, Hilton HHonors members will not earn points for their stay under our rate plan.) For individual reservations, guests are to call 1-877-GROUP-WA (1-877-476-8792) and request a room for the McGivney/Moore Wedding no later than Monday, March 10, 2008.
------------------------------
The following hotels are near the reception location. We do not have group rates at these hotels, but they usually have fairly reasonable prices, so you may want to check with them for room availability.
Please note: Hotel rooms in NYC are in high demand, so booking early is highly recommended.
Hotel 17 ($$) - three blocks east of the reception location. PLEASE NOTE: this hotel has some rooms with a private bath and some with a shared bath - please double-check when booking!
Union Square Inn ($$) - three blocks south of the reception location. PLEASE NOTE: this hotel does not have an elevator and the rooms are small.
Inn at Irving ($$$$) - one block east of the reception location.
More locations to come.
You can also check Hotels.com - search by address and use the address of the reception - 201 Park Avenue South, New York, NY. Questions? Let us know.

For those who are traveling from out of state, you have several options to get here.
Air: There are three NYC-area airports that are convenient to the city - La Guardia (airport code: LGA), in Queens; John F. Kennedy International (airport code: JFK), in Brooklyn; and Newark (airport code: EWR) in Newark, New Jersey. Check back shortly for links to transportation information to and from each airport.
Car: Hotel addresses are on their individual websites; use your favorite mapping website to get directions (try Google Maps). Parking is available at each hotel, but can be expensive. There are parking garages located near each hotel. Check back shortly for links to parking garage information.
Train: Amtrak trains arrive at Penn Station, which is a $10 taxi ride or less from any of the hotels listed on the Wedding Information page. Metro-North trains and some other trains from Connecticut arrive at Grand Central Station, which is also a $10 taxi ride or less from the hotels.

W Hotel Union Square, NYC
Hotel block information is listed above. If you want to book elsewhere, check for hotels near Union Square, Gramercy Park, or the Flatiron District if you want to be close by. The hotel is 1 block from the Union Square subway stop, making it accessible to the N, R, Q, W, 4, 5, 6 and L trains, so you can stay pretty much anywhere and get there via public transportation quite easily.

For those of you who have kids, they are absolutely welcome. Please make sure to include the total number of adults and kids on your RSVP so that we can give an accurate headcount to the reception venue.
We will have a gift bag for each child at the reception so that they will have some toys and coloring books to keep them occupied. Please feel free to suggest anything that you would like included in the gift bags!
